Introduction |
The Child Centred Principle: Each child’s individual needs will be considered and they will be encouraged to learn through active participation. The children will discuss how they are feeling, this will lead onto the children discussing what makes them safe/unsafe. The children will listen to a story during circle time, where a child will get lost from their mother in a shopping centre.

Development |
After discussing various situations, the children will act out various scenes in groups. The rest of the class will watch and assess using the “Three Stars and a Wish”, picking out two of the best parts and one that can be improved. All children will be involved actively in a drama and class discussion. |
Plenary |
The class will have a whole class discussion on feeling safe. |
